To the ones affinity threw at me with so much force and blew me away.
To the ones whose friendships smoldered slow like magma, enveloping me in your flames, inch by inch.
To the ones that walked with me down shit ass alleys and paths of glory.
To the ones I fought with to the bitter end, your impressions would forever be etched upon my soul.
To the ones that ignited my imagination over the years.
To the ones I’ve just met.
To the ones I’ve known forever.
This toast, is for all of you.

Cheers you lousy lot, life would be incomplete without you peeps.

Oh, a few more important notes.

Happy birthday Vanessa! Friday was awesome!
I just noted in a previous post to stop drinking and I broke that resolution already. Long Island Tea and the Jagger Bomb were fantastic though, so were the drumlets Cheryl recommended. Made a new friend yesterday as well, Choonni. Quite an interesting person I must say.

Catching up

Met up with Xianny and Derrick today for dinner after such a long time. They gave me a post-birthday treat! So nice of them.

Had much to tell them and much more to hear from them, was really quite awesome.

All in all, a great start to year nineteen. Thank you both.

Remember, remember 30th September…

I remember this day, last year, I spent it with whom I’d considered my closest friends.

I remember this day, two years ago, the very same people, and a few more, gathered and had a great dinner.

I remember this day, three years ago, when we last exchanged ‘Happy birthday’s.

I remember this day, four years ago, lying in bed, pretending to be sick.

Technically, I don’t turn 19 until past 3 a.m. or 4 a.m. but whatever.

Time sure flies eh? A new life, new and great friends and awesome moments. Kinda feels like an eternity though, then again, eternity is subjective.
If Friday’s lesson taught me anything, it’s that looking back really helps put things in perspective. The people I’ve met, the things I’ve seen and my experiences have really molded me to who I am today. A complicated person, but a nice complicated person.

Thanks to all who remembered that on 30th September, this 100 yen person celebrates his birthday.

It should be made a public holiday in fact.
