As the year comes to an end, the curtains fall and a new act awaits. Who knows what would be in store next year, but one thing is for certain, this year has been hectic, chaotic and downright nonsensical.

This year alone, I’ve drank more, made more friends, came to class semi-sober, spent a bomb, traveled to Tokyo, slept more, gamed more, read more, wrote more, drew more and thought more than any other year.

Major things that happened this year, in chronological order:

    - Began year two of my Polytechnic life

    - Made some good friends in semester one

    - Grew closer to Erika

    - Spoke to onee-chan more

    - Went for Pre-U seminar

    - Met some great people there

    - Went to Tokyo

    - Bought my new baby

    - Semester one class chalet

    - Semester Two begins

    - Befriended some awesome people

    - Some later than others

    - Went drinking on a school night, twice (this is so against my morals, but hey, there’s alcohol involved)

    - Down in the dumps a bit

    - Started hanging out with Erika more

    - Had a big fight with her for whatever reason I do not know

    - Got an opportunity to write for an animation

    - Swore to not drink anymore

    - Went drinking after Ness’ birthday celebration (I know, I know…)

    - Started several projects to keep me busy

    - Now, painting my room. A sign of change for me. And thanks to that one person who actually responded to my request for help. Heh.

All in all, it has been a tumultuous year. Opened my eyes to the multitude of holes I had in certain friendships and watched the seeds of trust I’ve sown in others germinate. Be it oak trees or dandelions, only time will tell.

Several posts back, I gave a toast to my friends.

In this post, I’d like to give a toast to my muses, imaginary and real, for giving me ideas and signaling the time for change.

    Thank you all.

Tags: Burning down the house, Classes,

Alright folks! This is a round-up of the happenings in week numero uno.

I’ve been sick for most part of the week and frankly, a little today as well. I blame it on the food. That or the sake, since i was fine on Friday and Saturday.

It’s been an awesome week despite my current state, I’ve made a couple of new friends and explored stuff that I don’t usually explore, a great experience overall.

I’ve found my rationale linking entropy to roast chicken, visualized the female form on paper, created a website design/hosting mock up, created Jack and the Essence of Lust and finally, told the story of Sharon.

I also met two rocks, drew a thing that someone told me resembled a Unicorn when it’s so apparent it’s a lizard, bought a camera and got kicked in training – hard. Now I’m bruised in several places, but it’s not that bad, got some training in.

    Now for something completely different:

This song brings back some memories, most of them being my cousins and I having loads of random fun. This was one of the random songs that kinda became an inside joke and now, it just feels so nostalgic. Enjoy, Tom Jones and The Cardigans – Burning down the house.

Today, I went to watch Pirates of the Caribbean with Miki, Jamie, Eshter and Eshyuan. All in all, it was a great movie.

Three hours plus of action-packed piratey goodness!

Hope I didn’t bring down their mood by being quiet though, I can’t fight back a fever and talk at the same time, my apologies.

But it was definitely fun hanging out with them.

Today I was a bit out of sorts in class too. I kinda asked more questions than I would usually and it appears that I’ve been slacking in class. Jeez.

Ah well, I’m planning to make a t-shirt with my Merlion skeleton, would anyone like to buy?  LOL

I’d better go finish up whatever work I have left before I collapse onto a heap on the floor. Ciao~

Yesterday, I reached home and the first thing I did was set up my laptop. Some wireless campus, they didn’t even have wireless in the bloody hostels!

    Anyway yeah, I’m HOME!!!

I can finally blog, chat and most of all, game!!!!111oneone

I missed my PSP and PS3 so badly that my fingers were twitching in the middle of the night.

After I threw my bags at home and took a nice long shower, I fought exhaustion and sickness and headed back to Republic and meet up with some of my classmates. It appears that I wasn’t missed as much as I hoped!

Met some great people over at Pre-U Seminar.  Truly an experience I will never forget.

Already on the first day I was zoomed-in and locked on for my hair. I insisted that I may trim, but I would not be happy about it. It’s my damn right as a polytechnic student. However, I ended up not getting my hair cut ‘cos the organizers and I came to a compromise, I just had to gel/wax/whatever my hair to make it stay neat and still. My hair cannot be bound my mortal hair styling products!

Ah well, screw it. The experience was great though, they just need to adjust the rules and change the location.

Oh, before I forget, little Edward is back! But his mum’s taking him back to Canada like tomorrow, but at least I got to see both mother and son while they were here in Singapore. Daddy will always be here little dude! (FYI: I’m not a dad, just a god-dad).

I’ll try to Photoshop something for Seminar Group 19.

Thanks to everyone in my SG for making the entire seminar, if otherwise, palatable. I miss you guys, must definitely hang out one day, kay?

Till the next post, probably on Monday, I’ll see you then.

P.S. Finally, I can go back to school and I’d get to… never mind.

I’ll be gone for five days starting tomorrow and I feel oddly sad.

I’ll be missing a week of school, means I’ll be missing a week with my friends which also means I’ll be missing the lovely whiteness of my school. I’ve stuck with this for so long, one final push then I can finally relax. Better yet, I’ll be relaxing somewhere in Akiba or Shibuya.

I don’t like this feeling of being psyched and forlorn at the same time.

The only other time I’ve felt like this was the end of my two other semesters, except this time, it feels like it’s ended prematurely.

I’m gonna miss all of them. This calls for an emote, don’t usually use them in my posts. Here it is: =/

    Oh, and before I forget.

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIKI!!!!

If someone owes you a present, you don’t have to give them anything on their birthday, right? Just wondering.

Anyways, I’m gonna go savor my last hours of freedom.

Stupid rules and… oh wait.. must be politically correct.

The event is gonna be awesome!! Hooray!!

    I’m ashamed at myself.

  • Breakfast

©Today, I met up with Kevin, San and An-GOOSE at the Woodlands bus interchange and headed to get breakfast and then off to school.

We bought Burger King and off we were to school.

During the first trigger, we were given a picture of a sculpture and had to describe it in one word and we decided on Sensuality.

We have to create an art piece today that contained the feeling of sensuality, but there was a catch.

Today, we had to work with the Ba Gua or Eight Symbols, traditionally an octagon with a yin-yang symbol within.

So, we were to consult the Ba Gua to determine our artwork today and my team was quite lazy/confused.

A lot of discussion went on about how we should divide up the elements and how the elements should be or can be represented. It was a greuling process and we decided to let the BG decide the elemental elements, you know, fire, water, wind, etcetera etcetera.

I got water, San got mountain, An-GOOSE got wind, Lily got fire and Kevin got marsh. So we began working on our own art pieces, using either visual or audial influences to determine our direction and once everyone was done, I joined them together and made this:

    Final Piece

Was a great day, but I feel we could’ve done better. I really felt that I haven’t put in much effort today. Feels off, I dunno. Ah well, till next time.

    Ciao.

Okay, so here’s some going-ons in my life.

Have to go to NTU tomorrow to do something. Don’t know what, but something.

Tickets to Japan are booked I think, this trip’s gonna be fun.

Got DJMax Portable 2, love the game, will review soon.

Trying to get some sleep, dead tired lately.

Guess that’s all. Oh, and one more thing: I love my class! Great bunch of people we have here. It’s gonna be a great semester.

I’m sure everyone remembers John Cage’s 4′33? Let’s watch it shall we? Pause Sonific, play video.

Ah, haven’t blogged in a few days. Feels like forever you know. I haven’t been surfing my usual spots like Japan Probe or Table of Malcontents for days!

Oh and my webcomics! I feel so outdated! What about my fanfiction?

Been so busy lately, I can hardly breathe. Had to work on my script, had to wake up early, had to go home late and today, I had to work without talking to my teammates face to face!

It’s was very demanding trying to collaborate with people via the internet and we end up facing a lot of trouble. But I guess today’s problem brought out the best in my team. Really am proud of them.

I’ll be back on regular updates soon. Check back, you hear?

P.S. Leave a comment when you visit, It’ll be a nice incentive for me to check back and hey, even talk to you peeps.

Yesterday was Justyn’s sword seminar and it was fun.

Learned various techniques for disarming an opponent with a Katana, how to counter and strike with a Katana and etiquette.

It’s quite fun to rush at your opponent, try to get into his open spot and strike. Leonard, I believe was his name, didn’t seem to mind as I pressed the Bokken against his neck and when I accidentally hit his finger when my Bokken came too close to his hand.

All in all, I believe that this is seriously good experience, I’ll go visit them on Friday and see what their training is like.
