Finally, I’m back in Granado Espada. After taking a hiatus off the game and concentrating on real life, I figured that now is the best time to actually head back in. I have time, sorta.

Feels great to be back gaming online again, I miss the thrill of leveling up and hunting for items. Oh, and acting like a nooblet is great fun, I’ve yet to see helpful people in game though, perhaps because I’ve only played for a few hours.

Oh, and Initial D Version 4 was released yesterday.  It’s terribly expensive in my opinion. Sure, the technology used may be quite advanced, but 3 bucks per game and 5 bucks for a card? That’s hardly affordable.

The graphics may look odd, prone to glitches (the machine that I’m using anyway), the sound’s too loud and the drifting too unrealistic. Perhaps in time, I’ll get used to it but for now, I’ll stick to version three.

    ‘Till next time, see ya.

Oh, and to say goodbye to one of my favorite blogs, Table of Malcontents, I’ll embed the video here.

    Enjoy.

©Today, I met up with Kevin, San and An-GOOSE at the Woodlands bus interchange and headed to get breakfast and then off to school.

We bought Burger King and off we were to school.

During the first trigger, we were given a picture of a sculpture and had to describe it in one word and we decided on Sensuality.

We have to create an art piece today that contained the feeling of sensuality, but there was a catch.

Today, we had to work with the Ba Gua or Eight Symbols, traditionally an octagon with a yin-yang symbol within.

So, we were to consult the Ba Gua to determine our artwork today and my team was quite lazy/confused.

A lot of discussion went on about how we should divide up the elements and how the elements should be or can be represented. It was a greuling process and we decided to let the BG decide the elemental elements, you know, fire, water, wind, etcetera etcetera.

I got water, San got mountain, An-GOOSE got wind, Lily got fire and Kevin got marsh. So we began working on our own art pieces, using either visual or audial influences to determine our direction and once everyone was done, I joined them together and made this:

Was a great day, but I feel we could’ve done better. I really felt that I haven’t put in much effort today. Feels off, I dunno. Ah well, till next time.

    Ciao.

DJMP2 is definitely the best game next to Loco Roco.

The fast beats and nice music compliment each other nicely.

I first got the demo about several weeks ago from the web and just had to try it out. One try and I got hooked. I loved how you can adjust the speed of the falling keys and the music sounded great. Temptation took me by the hand and dragged me to Comics Connection to get it.

Haven’t regretted it since. There’re so many things to unlock and plenty of customization available.

    Current favorite song: Blythe

I wonder if anyone of you reading this blog own a PSP as well, if you do, well, e-mail me! I’d like to meet you.

Here’s a nice track from DJMP2 called Outlaw, enjoy.

Note: This is not from Portable, but the track is the same.

Kay, gotta go do my RJ now.

Yesterday was Justyn’s sword seminar and it was fun.

Learned various techniques for disarming an opponent with a Katana, how to counter and strike with a Katana and etiquette.

It’s quite fun to rush at your opponent, try to get into his open spot and strike. Leonard, I believe was his name, didn’t seem to mind as I pressed the Bokken against his neck and when I accidentally hit his finger when my Bokken came too close to his hand.

All in all, I believe that this is seriously good experience, I’ll go visit them on Friday and see what their training is like.

I’ll list some thoughts down, my brain hasn’t been at optimum condition for awhile now. My days have been so hectic I can’t sleep properly and have a writer’s block and now my thoughts are so incoherent, I have random thoughts popping out ever few seconds.

It’s been a wacky two weeks in RP. This class is so comfortable you just can’t help but ease into it, making friends, chatting away.

This makes the project-crafting process much easier.

I’d be getting another game for my PS3 today, or perhaps tomorrow. I dunno.

Been re-reading The Magician’s Guild trilogy by Trudi Canavan. Nice read.

Planning to get another hard-disc, running out of space for schoolwork.

Where are some people when you need them?

Why it’s hard to be a god. Pause Sonific and play video.

Once again, I went to dig through my unholy collection of music, I found two songs that I used to love a lot.

    Tell mehide with Spread Beaver

    and

    MadoMerry

X Japan may be the grandfathers of Jrock but I was never really into them. I like a couple of their tracks and they definitely connect with me on a different level that’s very reminiscent of American rock at that time.

So when hide went on his solo career, I didn’t look too much into it. After all, X was already very big. But somehow, his music and I just, clicked in lack of a better word to use.

As for Merry, the whole eroguro genre is just too hard to miss. They have charisma, style and their music is surprisingly addictive. gara’s voice is awesome and goes very well with tetsu’s mad bass. Forgot why I stopped listening to them anyway, they aren’t even that old.

Ah well, here’s some Merry for you to enjoy. Not Mado, but hey, it’s still Merry.

    Japanese ModernistMerry

    Pause Sonific and enjoy!

On a lighter note, I’ll probably do an AnCafe post soon, stay tuned!

How should I start this post.

    Oh! I know

Granado Espada is a beautiful game. what? I have to justify? Sure.

The first thing you notice when you step into Granado Espada is the beautiful graphics. Not just beautiful, spectacularly stunning graphics, every feature on the characters, the buildings and scenery are portrayed vividly and gorgeously. The Victorian look is captured nicely by the game developers and is a definite thumbs up from me.

The next thing you will notice would be it’s beautiful Sound. All characters are equipped with vocals, and their voices are very clear. The background music is provided by various musicians and most notably, soundTeMP, the team that made most of Ragnarok Online’s background music. Classical guitars in the fields, opera and classical piano in towns and techno in battle. The music is stunning, you can just stay in town and listen to the music the entire day, such is its beauty.

The game play is fantastic, but I won’t go in-depth into it. Multi-Character Control or MCC aids in game play. You control up to three characters at once and you can set various AI modes in which your characters will approach the enemy or collect items. Different Stances provide different skill sets that your characters can use, this allows for strategic development and no two characters will be the same.

Stunning graphics, beautiful music, exciting game play, gorgeous setting and interesting story. Everything I wanted in an MMORPG and more, all found in Granado Espada. Playing it and loving every minute of it.

Sivarja family welcomes you to the New World and may you enjoy your stay in this beautiful realm.

Just be sure to be careful as you progress; the Tetra Ruins are a dangerous place with a bloody history.

One piece of advice – band together your fellow novice pioneers and learn the local culture and survival skills together, it gives you that much more appreciation of your future prospects in Granado Espada.

(I felt the exact same way as you did starting to play GE -albeit the American version a few months ago!)

The American version of the game is fine actually. Better than the rather sinful Singapore edition. nasty people running the game servers there….
But anyway yeah I love the monsters and the music and everything really.
What really got me was the hopping crocs (call me a nerd) but hey that is the first time I’ve ever seen anybody make a quadruped reptile hop around on his hind legs! Very good game!

So has anyone bought a Robosapien yet? The robot dude looks quite interesting. I just need one at 30 metres tall, armed to the teeth with lasers and railguns.

    robosapien-v2.jpg

Ah well, 30 metres would probably be asking too much, but a small one that can shoot flames and BBs would do just as well. Thanks to Engadget’s report, My dreams have come true. Can you SEE my tears of JOY?! Can you imagine the possibilities?! You might wanna head over there to take a look.

Here’s a video to satisfy your curiosity if you don’t know what I’m talking about.
